Would anyone be interested in creating a revleft wiki? We could continue to expand Che's legacy and provide accurate articles without capitalist bias. Anarchists, Marxist-Leninists, Maoists, Trotskyists would all be welcome to contribute. It would become a wikipedia for revleftists.

Looks like its been taken down, I'm going to request one from wikia. If it goes through I'll let you know.
If theres a debate between ideologies, either we could have different sections of each articles from say anarchist, trotskyist or maoist POVs.
Or we could just make seperate articles like Anarchist Perspective on Mao or Stalinist Perspective on Gandhi.

I requested the name Cheleft. That way its non sectarian and doesn't falsely claim I'm part of creating or running Revleft. I just hope it doesn't give the wrong idea that its ONLY about che guevara.

It's just as well - Redwiki had some terrible articles. Perhaps with the assistance of some of our revleft comrades, the articles may be made more readable.

They turned down my request because they claimed that my idea was a equivalent to the current wikia supporting liberal democrats.

I did find this http://socialism.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
Its basically unused, and I think everyone on Revleft considers themself a socialist in some sense. So I suppose we could try and start building something out of it.

That doesn't look very leftist. It looks like something for computers and cameras. Try this, communistwiki.wikispaces.com

I was recently looking for hosting for a wiki that I run, and came across this:
http://www.siteground.com/mediawiki-hosting.htm, which (for $6/month if you buy two years) gives you Free Domain / 750 GB space / 7.5 terabytes BW.
Also, as a note: Mediawiki is a huge resource hog, so you might be better off choosing a more light-weight wiki software if you are going to use free hosts that are not wiki-specific.
If you are going to be using one of those free wiki hosting sites, I'd first make sure they give you the ability to back up the database--sure you can export them as xml, but this can be a pain when you get too many pages, and from experience I can say that if your wiki gets too much traffic, they may very well shut it down.

Someone could just make another request at wikia. Perhaps for the "Communist and Anarchist" wiki as opposed to simply "Left", that way there is less likely to be confusion between the radical or liberal left. Wikia is actually usually pretty good with granting requests. They actually already have a few good ones but most are unused.
