Hey all,

I want to compile a list of anti-war chants, so if you could help me, that would be great!

What's your favourite anti-war chant?

"Hey hey, ho ho,
this racist war has got to go."

"No justice, no peace,
US out of the middle east."

"1, 2, 3, 4,
we dont want your racist war.
5, 6, 7, 8,
no more killing, no more hate."

"Whose streets?
Our Streets.
Whose war?
Their war."

i heard some nifty ones yesterday that i cant remember word for word. one i really liked was one calling out the major news companies, and telling them to get out of bed with the military.

Hey Hazard and abstractmentality,

Thanks for reminding me of those chants. It's hard for me to remember all the chants I've heard when trying to compile the list... Besides, I'm sure there are more chants that I haven't heard before, and I'm also sure that we can come up with more creative ones.

I did read that other thread, and it was cool, but most of it were phrases for banners, not chants... I also came across a website that had a list of chants, and it was good, but I'm looking for more... Like, I have heard tons of it, but I can't seem to remember, and I was hoping that people on here would come up with those and remind me. :)

Anyhow - my favourite chant is this: Exxon, Mobil, BP, Shell - take your war and go to hell!

And my favourite phrase on banners is: Somewhere in Texas, a village is missing its idiot.

Don't Muslims claim to be descendants of Abraham? That's why they're called an Abrahamic religion. Fuck if I know.

red_resistance, you should be ashamed of yourself - it's obvious that the video you posted has not been issued by Hezbollah and is apparently an immature an offensive parody of a legitimate and popular resistance movement. The idea that Hezbollah, and especially the movement's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, is antisemitic is a favored strategy of Zionists and other apologists for Israel's imperialist maneuvers who want to frame Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, despite the fact that Hezbollah has historically limited its attacks to Israeli soldiers and retains a mass support base in southern Lebanon especially amongst the Shia community due to its important role in providing social services such as health clinics and repairing homes and other structures which have been destroyed as a result of Israeli attacks, in the same way as Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The slurs directed against Hezbollah during the 2006 conflict with Israel by neighboring Arab regimes inspired protests and acts of solidarity throughout the region even in extremely repressive environments. If you have any decency or support for anti-imperialist movements you will remove those absurd slogans and the video.

Anyway...
"Baghdad, Kabul, West Bank, Gaza, Victory to the Intifada!"
"In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians!"
"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"
"Gaza, Gaza, don't you cry, we will never let you die!"

The slogans are the lyrics of the song, and all Kalashnikov's video's are more or less to make fun of neocons. Atleast thats how I interpertate them. You shouldnt take stuff like this so seriously

Hey all,

I want to compile a list of anti-war chants, so if you could help me, that would be great!

What's your favourite anti-war chant?

Dan (the Leftist Spider)

In my group we prefer to sing, this Joe Hill-song is a favorite:

We're spending billions every year
For guns and ammunition.
"Our Army" and "our Navy" dear,
To keep in good condition;
While millions live in misery
And millions died before us,
Don't sing "My Country 'tis of thee,"
But sing this little chorus.

Should I ever be a soldier,
'Neath the Red Flag I would fight;
Should the gun I ever shoulder,
It's to crush the tyrant's might.
Join the army of the toilers,
Men and women fall in line,
Wage slave of the world! Arouse!
Do your duty for the cause,
For Land and Liberty.

And many a maiden, pure and fair,
Her love and pride must offer
On Mammon's altar in despair,
To fill the master's coffer.
The gold that pays the mighty fleet,
From tender youth he squeezes,
While brawny men must walk the street
And face the wintry breezes.

Why do they mount their gatling gun
A thousand miles from ocean,
Where hostile fleet could never run --
Ain't that a funny notion?
If you don't know the reason why,
Just strike for better wages,
And then, my friends -- if you don't die --
You'll sing this song for ages.
