hi all,
my name is John, I am 18 and I live in the UK. I am currently in my first year at university in Wales.... studying economics/capitalist propaganda.
before you ask- I'm doing economics in the hope of challanging the general consensus. it's a long shot, but it's still worth a try...it's make my Views on economics very hardline.
as of yet I am not a member of any political organisation, as i am still developing my political views, I first started thinking about politics four years ago... it's been a long time to say the least.
my forum name 'SRACTLM' is simply an anacrnoym of all the ideologies I've got ideas from- 'soviet revisionist' (and a few from 'revisionists'), 'Anarcho-communist', Trotskyist and Marxist-Leninist. an odd combination to say the least.
my main influences are Trotsky and J.K.Galbraith (American liberal economist). I have also read works by Lenin, Marx and Gorbachev.
I use my free time to go out with freinds at Uni. otherwise I spend my time playing the piano (I've played for ten years, and now specailise in 'free form improvisation'- a technical way of saying 'I play what comes out of my head'), listening to music on you-tube (for inspiration), or researching different topics and keeping up with current affairs.
my flat mates would rightly claim my other hobby is causing technical faults; in the past I've managed to blown up the Microwave, shut down a computer network and also deleted my own user account on the computer network. these were 'terrible accidents' never to be repeated... hopefully.
let's just say I was born on Friday the 13th- and it's kind of rubbed off on me.
as of yet, i haven't done much work or had a job- but being at uni, it's only natural that I'm short of cash- so things will have to change sooner or later.
