now for the stuff you wont see on CNN:

this is marching on the "illegal" march. we went through the streets for a while chanting "whose streets? our streets!" this picture of us marching in the streets while cars at a green light wait shows this well. (we did get plenty of honks of support though)

after blocking us in...

while a few feet away, some people that decided they did not want to get off the street, and were about to get arrested.

we then broke off again and marched for many more blocks on the sidewalk, always with police on either side of us.

it ended when somebody tried to break a plexi-glass window (to which i heard many people call him an idiot), and we got a small smoke grenade a 7 feet from us and got scrunched by police pushing. the police then pulled in another bus or two of sheriffs officers, at which time we thought we should break off ourselves.

this was my first break away march. i was their with black pants, and a long sleeve tan shirt. you may have seen me there. i had on a backpack with a che patch on the back, and a No War On Iraq and Fair Trade is better then "Free Trade" buttons. i may be going to SF on the day after action early in the morning, but it depends if i have a final on that day, cant fail my class.

did you have the long pole with the small black flag with the anarchist symbol in it? i remember seeing that one often.
