Although James is no longer posting in this forum, I'd like to place here a good site he recommended.
Thanks!

Larissa,

Oxfam has just launched a global campaign to Make Trade Fair. As you well know, world trade could end poverty for millions of people, but instead it's actually widening the gap between rich and poor.

Oxfam is asking people to email Dr Supachai anitchpakdi, head of the WTO, to help poor farmers and Make Trade Fair. But of course it will only work if enough people do it.

Please send an email message today (or do as i'm doing, print off, and then send through the post - as it has more of an affect). Oxfam has made it really easy to do - it won't take you a minute.

Just go to:

You can also find out more about the Make Trade Fair campaign.

Many many many many thanks,

James

Thanks Larissa, great site, but I don't really knwo what to think on the issues.

It's really bad that the famers are suffering, but can they produce enough foos for their countries anyway? That's what i want to know.

I'd really like to combat sweatshop labour, there's nothing wrong with people in the third world earning wages that way, but they shoudl earn mroe and the fat cats should get less profit, how do we put that into practice?
