About a year ago i discovered psychobilly
and i can't stop listening to it.
There are LOTS of great bands out there from all sorts of places in the world that play REALLY GOOD psychobilly.
I was wondering if anyone else likes
psychobilly or rockabilly??

**don't get me wrong, i still enjoy tool, rage, system, and all the other bands that have great lyrics and great sound**

BUT
i am yet to find a psychobilly band that has leftist lyrics, or that share a political view...
:[

but YEAH! do any comrades like, enjoy psychobilly??
(or rockabilly??)

Suprise suprise, a californian girl who just got into psychobilly. That seems to be the cool thing to do out there now.

Psychobilly, musically, I think isn't that bad. Most of the bands sounds the same to me. I like Demon city Wreckers, they have a hardcore influence on psychobilly. And I like the Peacocks, they're a very traditional neo-rockabilly type of psychobilly and very catchy.

As for leftwing psychobilly...The Washington Deadcats from France have done shows with the CNT and RASH, so they obviously support revolutionary ideas, but I don't speak French and didn't notice anything overly revolutionary about the lyrics. They're also somewhat hard to find music from.

The scene is pretty much massively a-political, the very first band (the meteors) wanted it that way and it stuck. And now there are a lot of white power people involved in some parts of the country.

i know what you mean by surprise surprise.
I see a lot of people try to pick up psycho, and music is made to be enjoyed so i don't see much wrong with it.
It is funny when some kids walks up to you, and tries to have a conversation, but all they know is tiger army and nekromantix.
And the meteors are really good live, i saw them about two months ago.
Klingonz are good too, live haah they're fun. Calavera, one of the first bands i listened to, is not so great live, but the pits get crazy so that's really fun.
Demented are Go, yup they're very good, real catchy.
i catch myself singing "pervy in the park, pervy in the park" All the time.
and Ultra-violet
I think i know what you're talking about!
the psychos have this sorta arrogance to them. They look down on others, like it's "im more psycho than you" and there is drama in the pit, more than any other "type" of people i've seen.
Even at rockabilly shows, people will get kicked out, for stupid fights, it's stupid, why pay to go fight and get kicked out!?
