The Benefits of Corporate Hegemony to the Nation and to all of its Citizens

"America was founded on one principle… freedom. Social, religious, political, and above all, economic. Any legal American, especially a Republican, has the freedom to make as much or as little money as he wants, and to get that money in any way that he sees fit. McDonalds grossed over $6.9 billion in 2006, selling near-toxic addicting foods to overweight Americans. We need to embrace the American dream, and McDonalds has certainly done everything possible to do this. The only problem with the system is, however, that the nation is currently over $9,200,611,733,703 in debt, as of January 7, 2008.
There is a way around this however. Not only can we eliminate the national debt, we can fulfill the American Destiny, which is to support economic freedom and the carefree, luxurious lifestyle that this entails, and to inevitably become a corporation ourselves. Every four years, eight or ten politicians with nothing in mind but their own bank accounts plague national television with their mudslinging ad campaigns. If we were to nix this, and have corporations as opposed to politicians running for political office, not only could we turn the United States into a corporation made up of smaller, somewhat more important conglomerates, but the national debt would be eliminated by a group of people who sincerely know how to turn a profit. Take Enron, For example. In 1985, the company was in an utterly confused state, with little or no leadership, almost as the US is now. In only 15 years, they were able to build a company that grossed over $111 billion annually, with investments in hundreds of other companies. If we had those same people running the nation, then the debt would be gone, there would be a committee paying off the Iraqis, and all cars would be made in the US.
The United States Economy would be booming, which would mainly result from the fact that the businesses that make up our economy would be making up the laws. Any taxes that would hurt the economy or the corporations that make it up would be eliminated, as it help both the economy and the American citizens. The taxes would also be unnecessary as far as paying the politicians’ salaries, as they would already have enough money as it is.
The American people would have the option to invest in their own nation, thus increasing nationalism and devotion to the state. We could eventually merge with other, less prosperous corporate nations. Of course, it would be more of a management takeover than a merger, but the principle is still there, and it would be better for all corporations involved, and that is all that matters in the long run.":)
