Hello to everyone, who cares!

I am a new member of this great community and I hope that I'll have a lot of good and interesting conversations whithin these group of friends and like-minded people.

My real-name is Sandra and I'm a 25 year old girl from Germany, which is interested in politics, history, music, movies, nature and science. At the moment I work as a scientist in a german university.

I don't know what else to say. But, maybe you've got some questions? :)

Herzlich willkommen! Gewöhnlich trifft man gar keine Deutschen hier. Was für eine Wissenschaftlerin bist du denn? Ich studiere Mathe (und Germanistik als Nebenfach). Man hat mir erzählt, daß viele Mathe Kursen an deutschen Universitäten eigentlich auf Englisch gelehrt werden. Stimmt das? Es wäre prima, wenn ich ein Semester in DE studieren könnte, aber ich habe wirklich keine Lust, mich einen ganzen Mathe Lexikon zu merken!

Ich freue mich sehr darauf, dich besser kennenzulernen!

Vielen Dank für die nette Begrüssung! :) Ich bin Biologin, genauer gesagt arbeite ich am Institut für Genetik. Dass so viele Kurse während des Mathestudiums in englisch unterrichtet werden, ist mir gar nicht bekannt. Zwei Freunde haben das in Dresden bzw. Leipzig studiert und dort wurde wohl alles in deutsch gelehrt. Ich kann mich ja noch mal umhören! :)

Ay, I speak a very minute amount of german, despite spending my summer with one. My intentions are to learn the language, but hello hello anywho!
