The Dark Years

I saw some of the NFB's new film The Dark Years (http://www.nfb.ca/webextension/dark-years/) that talks about the depression from the point of view of the Toronto Star (newspaper). Included is the class struggle of the time while not from a Marxist it still give a decent idea of the era, it shows the sudden poverty that accrued during this era and that the first reaction of the state was brutal police force.
