They get civic holidays while the rest of us only get stats and our paid vacation. They should be forced to work their civics.

True, they earn wealth without working really, it's just like monarchies, where kings, counts and lords don't work at all, and live in a constant vacation, man what an unfair system

What you should be saying is why shouldn't I be getting the same holidays as them?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard than average holidays per annum in the U.S. are about 2 weeks. In the E.U. the legal absolute minimum is 4 weeks but most folks in the U.K. where I am get more.

This is true, the average U.S. is two weeks. And even more outrageous than kings, who at least have the excuse of believing themselves to be of divine origin or blessing, there are people out there who literally live off manipulating the money they already have. What a shit concept.

I got some question to this thread...
What does it give you to complain about people who get treated a little better within this system? i mean yes civil servants arent really working class, but why would we join in the divide and rule mentality of the ruling class and say "those deserve less because i get less". any revolutionary should call for workers getting more vacation, more wage etc. not for others getting less.
And even more outrageous than kings, who at least have the excuse of believing themselves to be of divine origin or blessing, there are people out there who literally live off manipulating the money they already haveand you think civil servants become civil servants because...? they no less think they are just doing some job then anyone else without class consciousness.
apart from of course, i would love to get a job with more vacation and pay, i dont think there is anything "honorable" about getting paid shit and complain about others getting more. shitty jobs dont make you any more working class / revolutionary / awesome.
The real problem is if the kind of job they do makes them change the class side as representatives / defenders of the capitalist state.
Edit:
and i call for a move to chit chat, like other random rants

Yes, but simply discussing it is enough to make you a MIMite! Restrict all those who posted here before me. :)

im technically a civil servant because i work indirectly for a government body but since i'm payrolled by a private contractor i dont get any additional holidays.
:(
Anyway, i think extra perks within the public sector is a positive inditement of socialistic government. Post revolution, everyone should get that. Criticising that is a bit 'neo-con'.
