The palace said it hoped the site would make the 81-year-old monarch's annual speech "more accessible to younger people and those in other countries".I'm fairly sure the young don't care/want her replaced unless they're rabid nationalists and those in other countries have their own King/Queens (most likely if in Europe) or consider such a thing to be dumb and a waste of time. (unless they live in like Nepal and happen to be anti-Maoist soldiers or something)

Not only her, but every single Royal Family in the world deserves the "Romanov Treatment".

It was on the news here as well. What exactly is the news value of this? :-/

Damn, I wish Youtube hadn't fixed that exploit where you could remove all a channel's subscribers... :(

You're forgetting the royal family's biggest fan club: Americans.

The Royal family have a problem in that they have to try and maintain public interest in them while not giving up so much that they become just another reality-tv soap. I'm not sure how successful they are, but this is more evidence of how much they are trying to promote themselves - a sign of them feeling vunerable?

There's nothing special about a youtube channel, everyone can make one.
Although this extremly unimportant story appearing in the news is a waste of time, altough I'm sure De Telegraaf will love it.
