Im unsure a sto the meaning of this word, can anyone help?

It means the property owning class, the bosses. People in a position of power are bourguoise. The bourguoise (bosses) are the exploiters and the proleteriat (workers) are the exploited.

The Bourgeoisie is the capitalist ruling class. They own and control the means of production and the state. They hire and exploit the proletariat (working class) who are forced to work for the Bourgeoisie due to the bourgeois monopoly on the means of production.
