Alright, so there are fukin revolutionary merchandise ads all over this site. They have some pretty bad ass stuff on the sites. But does anyone else see the irony in PURCHASING a Che Guevara shirt? I know that you can make your own shirts but some of them just couldn't really be done with a stencil. And some are accessories like bandannas and lighters that no one could make anyways.

So whats you guys' opinion? To buy rev. clothing/accessories or not?

Or you could wear normal clothes and DIY revolutionary stuff on them.

I don't think I would ever, just because I'm a pretty plain guy, but let me tell you, its better to see kids wearing a leftist t-shirt than a shirt with a swastika on it.

Do what you want, and what your money allows you to.

You are not going to topple capitalism by buying "revolutionary" commodities.

You are not going to topple capitalism by not buying "revolutionary" commodities.

So it is irrelevant.

It does seem more about wearing your politics on your sleeve rather than actually engaging with them.

If you're going to buy stuff, why not get it from leftist groups? Many organisations print run some tshirts for fighting funds etc, check if some in your local area are. I get a very nice Spanish civil war one from some comrades last year.

If you want to wear a t-shirt with Che on it, I don't care. If you bought it from a corporation that has an ad up that says "CHE WANTS YOU TO BUY A T-SHIRT!" or something like that, then you just contributed to the existence of a factory that is worked by kids putting Che's face on so many t-shirts, they'd stab the guy that took the famous picture.

I own a bunch of leftist shirts, and I don't see a problem with it. Like Sam b said, if you're gonna wear clothes, why not make them leftist? It can be a good conversation starter for educating people. But it is nice to just have regular clothes and not stand out like you do sometimes with a political shirt on.

^ I meant buying from leftist groups, if you deem it necessary to define your politics by what you wear. Or by groups such as Stop the War so you're actually putting the money back into something :)

I think they problem in my area is that there are a lot of leftists but none of them are vocal. if I show that i am a leftist then maybe other leftists' will see it and we will converse. And as far as leftist organizations, the only one close to me would be the democrat headquarters, lol, jk. but rly, there are like no leftist organizations near me.
