Anyone know of where I would be able to purchase a large hammer and sickle flag, preferably money order?

why don't you make it yourself (somekind of D.I.Y H&S Flag) that would be cool :) you just have to buy some Red cloth Material and some yellow spray paint.

A red piece of cloth is all you need.

I want one of those as well. I'm looking for a rather large, wall-sized one, similer to the Nazi flag that Edward Norton had in his room in American History X, except obviously communist instead of fascist.

I don't think hand-drawing one is a good idea. The professionally-made ones are much more inspiring. If anyone could link me to a maker, I would be grateful.

how cool would it be to own one of those huge red banners with lenin or marx's portrait on it like they used to drape down political buildings in the old soviet moscow? :P

Oh I consider myself more of a communist than an anarchist =]

I just think one of the most important things we can do is to simply get along and work together.

Any shops in the US?

Oh, and btw, I really actually like the Communist Party UK one.

Seen some Lenin ones over here (Iraq) for sale by the local vendors. But I'm sure they're really expensive, and I'm not into Lenin. Still cool though.

every other month there's a couple of people that
sell flags, on campus
at my school.
The flag is there...
:]
BUT i must say if you do the stencil and do it yourself...
OR
cut out and sew in the sickle and the hammer...
that would look VERY good;)

I had a rather nice one(not a huge banner but a large decorative flag for wall hanging), though not the velvet kind, which I got for about $90 from a private vendor in Podolsk. I ended up donating it to AKM, a local Communist youth organization. You can find tons of the better ones in Moscow, on Arbat street and at Izmailovsky market. However, they are extremely expensive. I got a normal, but original, Ukrainian SSR flag for about $60. I would imagine some of the nice tapestries they have, especially the Lenin/Stalin ones would cost somewhere around $400-$500.

I got a synthetic Soviet flag in Prague(3'x5') for about $15. I also remember seeing a box full of socialist Bulgarian and Mongolian flags for dirt cheap prices, like $7 or something. They were full size originals. I kick myself for not picking some up, just on principle.

I have a Soviet flag I got off ebay, which hangs on my wall, it's actually the first version of the Soviet flag, the red is much darker and more blood-like color, and the hammer and sickle is larger in the corner, the red in the later soviet flag was far too bright imo.

Take note that real Soviet flags should have the emblem on only one side.
