He makes a pretty good case what with the perceived escalation of violence (Including the use of guns) in the recent riots in France.

So what are your thoughts and opinions on this?

France is known for being pretty left wing when it comes to the workers so is there potential for this to become a more left friendly radical revolution?

I don't think so. While I guess it could escalate into a revolutionary situation, I don't see the objective conditions prevalent in the country for that to work. Perhaps most importantly, I don't think there is a real revolutionary Vanguard in France to cohesively orginize a revolution. Also, there aren't that many real revolutionaries. Strikes have always happened in France. I'm not sure these riots/strikes have the potential to turn into a revolution any time soon.

Well I certainly hope it will but I doubt it. The left is to split and unorganized from what it looks like (but I'm not there so I don't have any concrete analysis) so any unrest that sparks up becomes isolated and fizzles out.

If only the workers who are striking and the rioters united they would be quite a formidable force.

Lenin said, "There has never been a single great revolution in history without civil war. Long live the Civil War!"
