I got this email a few hours ago.

Dear Brothers and Sisters:
We're writing to remind you of the labor rally in solidarity with TWU Local 100 that's taking place Monday, December 16. The rally will beginning at MTA Headquarters at 130 Livingston Street in downtown Brooklyn at 4pm, and after rallying for some time it will march over the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall. Revolutionary Transit Worker and League for the Revolutionary Party supporters will be there in force. We'll be distributing a new edition of RTW addressing the latest developments in the contract struggle. You'll be able to spot us with our big black and white banner that will read: "General Strike Against Budget Cuts, Layoffs and Anti-Union Attacks!"

In Solidarity,

Art Rymer
Revolutionary Transit Worker / League for the Revolutionary Party

(The ironic thing is that I won't be able to attend the rally because of the strike.)

Those protesters were joined by other city workers like the FDNY and NYPD. Those protesters shut down a lane of traffic on Broadway because there were just so many of them. However the strike was averted.
