Hey y'all,
Recently, I discovered the following on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Revolutionary_Communist_League,_National_Com mittee_(Middle_Core_Faction)):
It's about the Japan Revolutionary Communist League, National Committee (Middle Core Faction) (in Japanese: Kakumeiteki Kyōsanshugisha Dōmei, Zenkoku Iinkai (Chūkaku-ha)) or Chūkaku-ha in short.
This is a Trotskyist grouping, founded in the 1950's in Japan. They were involved in the struggle against the Narita Airport, for the building of which peasants were evicted of their homes, and they were one of the groups who launched attacks against the G7 Summit in Japan in 1986. They have an armed wing, but nowadays focuss more on building broad movements, or at least that what's wikipedia wants us to believe.
I wanted to know if there are people on this board who could explain more about Japanese Trotskyism or the radical left scene there in general, and tell a bit more about the different groups, the differences between them, etc.
By the way, were there any contacts or discussions between for example Chūkaku-ha and the Japanese Red Army?
Greetings,
Rosa M.
