I"ve currently been searching youtube for topics on economics and as such I"ve come across a fair share of dellusional Liberteraians aka Free Marketers but out of all the same bullshit poorly articulated rhetoric that most of these Neo Liberals spew out none has been more fascanating then a Youtube blogger who goes by the name of JHBowden>

This guy is highly intelligent and surely acts like it but none the less he has a pretty warped view of the world ranging from the abolshiment of the minimum wage all welfare services full privitization and to make matters worse he puts foward claims like it was the free market that abolished child labour not unions>

Here is a taste

You can see my response to his video in the comments section under the username illmatic seventy seven>

My laptops broken so the numbers don"t work>

I would but I'm on a pretty old laptop (Macintosh PowerBook G3) and video runs slow.

I'm debating the capitalist troll Unapologetic Capitalist in OI anyway.

People should definitely help this guy though. I wish I could.

JHBowden is a conservative, right-wing REPUBLICAN, not a Libertarian. He has several videos attacking Ron Paul, claiming he "sucks." In one of them [this one] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_VTwhxXA84) he distinguishes Republican, "conservative" philosophy from Libertarian philosophy in that he claims Conservatives believe in some form of social order whereas Libertarian claim the goal of a good society is individual choices. Conservatives believe in a need for education, morality, and so on, he claims, whereas Libertarians are more live and let live philosophers. There certainly is a difference between Republican and Libertarian philosophies.

Anyway, as you can see, his videos don't have many views in the first place and he gets a lot of basic facts, history, etc. wrong as you can tell by some of the video responses.

You'd be better off than debating on a forum hosting multiple political ideologies rather than youtube, which no one takes seriously.

I"m more concerned with his claims on the free market being the real cause behind the decline of child labour in the US>

How can I disprove this>
