I didn't read the article Comrade but when looking at this I think we should think what we (ignoring the whole Stalin/Trotsky thing for the moment) would do in this situation if we were in power. I support them because atleast if nothing else it shows that militantcy is still alive and this government deserves to have it's eyes opened rather than concentrating on Iraq.
However it's not as if these firemen are starving and go home every night to a grotty council estate. They still earn 18,000 grand a year. But then again there's the argument that it's been like that since 1979, and we all remember what happened the last time they and others wen't on strike. Although unlikely I for one don't want a new Thatcher coming in.
