The Liangzhu culture in China was thought of as a "proto-civilization" but now it seems like a full-fledged civilization more advanced than all others in China at the time.

The traditionally-regarded "mainstream" Huaxia culture in northern China looks like a barbarian culture in comparison.

I think this will extends China's history well beyond 4,000 years...More research is needed, of course.

Exciting stuff.

Hmm, as I expected, very interesting though. In my understanting, humanity has had great losses in knowledge of their own history. I think humanity was once as ingeniously advanced as our "modern age". Every generation thinks their the great peak of human civilization, but they would be mistaken. If China wasn't so Totalitarian in ancient times it would currently be the envy of the world.
