View Full Version : Michael Savage

The Council on American Islamic Relations is conducting an organized boycott of a far-right talk show called 'the Savage Nation'. The host, Michael Savage (real name: Michael Wiener) has defamed practically every ethnic group in the US, immigrants, homosexuals, etc. not the least of all being Muslims, whom Savage wants to intern (like the Japanese in 1942.) Several companies have already stopped advertising on the show.

Savage countering, says he will file a lawsuit against CAIR on Monday.

Any thoughts on this? Savage is probably the most hateful show on talk radio today, but should people support CAIR, or this tactic? Or is Savage just criticizing radical Islam?

Stay out of this, and let the reactionaries waste their lives away.

Remember, we don't have to support anyone when the choice is between a douche-bag and a turd sandwich.

If I understand correctly, he wants to intern all Muslims.

You want to sit out this scum calling for the internment of lots of working class people on the basis of what religion they are?? What kind of leftism is that?

This reactionary is attempting to divide people based on what community they belong to, obviously we have to fight that. Your analogy makes little sense in this context...

I've seen this kind of bigot many times in person, and they have to be smashed.

Oh I apologize. I forgot it's Michael Savage we are talking about here.

Fighting against racism, I'm all for it (and did a fair share of that back when I was active). But fighting for Muslims? No more than I'm willing to fight for Christians.

Therefore Savage should be struggled against, to state the obvious. Even Bill O'Reilly opposes him. <_<

It's interesting to note that Michael Savage is a huge "environmentalist" and "animal rights" advocate.
doesn't mean he deserves to live.

yeah, savage wiener is a fascist who should be turned over to radical islamic extremists (with kiss make up painted on his face.)

funny way to interpret his remarks because i think cdl was saying it more to tag "enviormentalism" and "animal rights" activists as not particularly progressive or revolutionary.

of course those two issues I see as moral issues not political.

If not muslims, what about homosexuals? He believes homosexuality is grounds for coomitment to a mental facility!

Which is kind of ironic considering his crush on Ginsberg;

"Savage maintained a correspondence with Ginsberg consisting of 10 letters and a trio of postcards across four years, which is maintained with Ginsberg's papers at Stanford University. One letter asked for Ginsberg and Ferlinghetti to come do a poetry reading, so others could "hear and see and know why I adore your public image." One postcard mentions his desire to photograph Ginsberg in a provocative way, though Savage states that this correspondence is actually a forgery created by gay detractors."-Wiki.

And;

"He went around showing people a photo of him and Ginsberg swimming in the buff in Hawaii."-Stephen Schwartz.*

I agree with comrade Crum in that Savage should be opposed.

His far-rightist politics also make him highly ironic in that regard.

He's also advocated a new Red Scare too.

He should be scared. Maybe if someone scares him enough he'll think twice before opening his stupid fucking mouth.
