Hello,

I'd just like to introduce myself and give a small fragment of who I am to you all.

I am still in my youth and am a citizen of the USA. I've always had an open mind and learned that both sides have a story and that history is the story of the victor. So, naturally it is a good idea to look into both perspectives. In this case, economics. Capitalism, Socialism and Communism.

I must say, living in America, freedom of thought it preached, but then again what is education? All information and history hand selected and set out by the government. Meaning there will always be bias. I found that in a vast majority of topics that opposed the USA's best interests or were not "moral" in actions are not touched or touched briefly, leaving out the negatives. Many times more than positive.

It has led me here, looking to further my knowledge of Socialism and Communism. I'm very new to this study and am far from a good source to speak to about it but I am doing my best to learn. So far, the idea is great and should be to any morally-aware and good human being, but it seems over history the many attempts at it have been short of success. To my knowledge, there has never yet been a truly Communistic state in any nation to date, so I will hold my lip.

I don't see how anyone can judge Communism and call it evil when there hasn't even been a nation under it! The papers here in America, and abroad I'd assume, misuse their terms as well. Calling many socialist nations, communist states, when in fact they are not.

Anyhow, it's a pleasure to have registered on this forum. Seems to be a good source for what I was in search for. Thus concludes my introduction.

Signed,

JWG
