I'm gonna do a presentation on political ideologies this week and I figured yall would know some books that have good over-views of ideologies from the far left to the far right. Thanks!

Is it historical, or more related to the present?
There's this book that we used in first year politics- it's quite biased in the liberal democracy direction, but it is a good general look at politics. It's called: Baylis and Smith: The Globalisation of World Politics."

Property and Prophets (http://www.amazon.com/Property-Prophets-Evolution-Institutions-Ideologies/dp/0765606097/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196137166&sr=8-2) <--- I read it in college for History of Economic Thought. It's not too bad; covers Smith, Ricardo, Malthus, Marx, Stalin, Veblen, Keynes and others. While it is critical of capitalism, it's not a leftist book by any means, if that is what you are looking for. You could probably find it used for cheap somewhere.
