I searched for Laos on revleft but didnt find anything specific on Laos.
Laos is considered to be one of the last "Communist states" left, but that ofcourse does not say much.

Now I dont just want hear about today's Laos but if it was at any point really real with Communism in the past.
I wanna hear opinions from diffrent theories anti-revisionists, Trotskyists, anarchists, etc.

Also if it was once doing good work but not anymore now, where did it go wrong?

I've been to the country, but I was only in it for a few days, and then only the touristy stuff (I didn't know any better). From what I can see, it may be far too early to judge the progress of the Socialist government, since the place is so backward it looks as if you stepped into a portal and emerged 200 years ago. Houses were made from bamboo and people mostly harvest their own food in rice paddies, not to mention constant-yet-almost-never-published bombing by imperialists has left the nation's land scarred horribly. I didn't feel much of a state presence, even in the big cities.

Hopefully a comrade with more international knowledge can shed some light on the conditions of workers in Laos.
