Does anybody know where to find good action/legal manuals? You know, about your rights, what will likely happen when you're arrested, what do do and don't do, ...
Preferably for europe/belgium, but everything is welcome.
I need them to make a short and handy guide to hand out to activists.

Of course, it does depend on where you come from, and where you want the rules for.

I've got a very good manual that I picked up for Germany, from the G8, about three from different states of Australia (SA, NSW and Vic) and I've seen various 'generic' protest manuals that don't have legal information.

My suggest, you would have to research the laws where you are, specifically the usual charges used in protest situations, your rights once arrested and so on. You would then combine this with tactics about affinity groups, blocs, shields, protective gear (illegal in Germany..., and possible where you are) and so on.

So, rather then find a already written guide (unless specifically written for your situation), I would suggest writing your own.

Good luck! There is lots of info out there.

Thanks for the info!
yeah, the point is that we write our own, we're researching the laws etc. But it might be a nice plus to look at several different manuals, to see how other write them and also to make sure we don't leave anything out.
So really, anything is welcome.
