I was googling words like I usually do when I'm bored; and I came across this blog on Blogspot named; 'The Right Side.' It's a Conservative View-Point of a Leftist.

It mention the following quote multiple times:
"If you have a heart, you are a Liberal by the time you are 20. If you have a brain, you are a Conservative by the time you are 30."

Churchill is one of quite a few people who are credited with the quote. Others include George Bernard Shaw and Bertrand Russell.

Apparently certain conservatives are more insensitive to rape victims than I originally thought.

I didn't receive the memo in the mail detailing how social and economic conditions are separate. Apparently for a conservative it's society's fault the family is breaking down, but being poor is an individual condition. :mellow:

This is bullshit a socialist society doesn't rely on everyone being good and people are held accountable for their own actions.

The Cuban justice system holds criminals accountable for their own actions by sending them to prison.

And all this bullshit of legislating for complete fairness that this right wing idiot charges us with wanting to do is nonsense.

Socialists believe in using the means at our disposal to eliminate poverty and ensure that our nations wealth is used to benefit the vast majority of people (who do not earn a living through ownership of property).

It's fucking simple- we nationalise the commanding heights of the economy/strategic wealth to ensure (among other things) that such important assets are used to maintain a decent living standard for the whole population.

We can't allow our resources to be used to maximise the profits of small minority of businessmen.

Capitalism isn't working- the wealthiest country in the world can't even have the decency to provide free healthcare to it's citizens. While Cuba, which has it's priorities right does this and has eliminated in 50 years about 20-odd diseases.

We leftists are pragmatists, not idealists.

Really? How do you know "most liberals are" in this or that condition?
