ok so im sitting here at work and this guy is ranting about the Hollywood screenwriter's strike. He says that these guys have thousands and millions of dollars. that they make about $500,000 to $2 millon a year (dollars). and that they are basically complaining about getting 8% instead of 5%. he claims that regardless they are still breaking the bank.

I did noticed some of these writers driving luxury cars too. I mean I'm not saying all or claim that theres a certain percentage. but, what do you guys think? or heard? do you believe this screenwriters are well off. financially either way? most of them are upper class folks. so should working class people support their strike???

does it matter?

The writer's guild is striking over not being paid for digital media. They are not getting paid for the work they are doing.

The fact is all wage workers, anyone being made a profit off is being stolen from, obviously due to the nature of Capitalism and the way supply and demand work, some workers get paid more (not because they contribute anything better, or they work harder, or they create more real value).

So any one working for a wage or even salery is being exploited, and supporting them is just as noble as supporting other more intensly exploited workers.
