Obviously there is going to be mixed views and feelings towards the entire strike, protest and reforms.

the usual things I'm hearing and reading are people saying that; they are tired of being held hostage by a few 'workers'.

the mayor of paris went as far as to refer to the protesters as 'lazy people, that he is ashamed and enraged by their behavior"

The French president Nicolas Sarkozy keeps standing defiant towards these strikes. All I read about is how he says that these reforms are necessary for the economy? that France needs to do this in order to be up to date with the world and what's coming?

I've read some comments from French people and some sound like the average American neo-con. saying things like; we are tired of people retiring at 50, all of us have to pay for that!

So what's does Sarkozy mean? and are these Strikes justified? and what's all this "sabotages by unionist radicals?"
