They claim to be progressive and even radical, but then they ***** and complain when we mull elimination a reactionary anachronism if it doing so would not benefit their parochial interests.
Between all the immigrant bashing, the three reactionary choices of 2007, and this crap, it seems the best that can be said about Quebec is that the people oppose the war on drugs...
I don't want to eliminate the Senate because of some perception that it gives Ontario more leverage in our childish regional shellgames: I want to eliminate the Senate because its elitist, its backwards, its undemocratics, etc... And I don't want reform either because I don't want a second chamber dominated by said turf wars to even attempt some semblance of crafting sensible policy...lol
