Has anyone ever read any of the books in the Introducing series? They cover various political and philosophical theorists and ideas like Marx, Sartre, Aristotle, Existentialism, Heidegger, Hegel, Kant, Nietzsche, etc.

They are presented in comic type form, with illustrations and simple explanations together on each page.

Does anyone find these useful? Do they do the job and explain their topics clearly and sufficiently? Would it be worth it picking some up?

Well i have read a few books from the serious of "A Short Introduction To -" I have the anarchist, socialist, and democracy ones. They all seem to be very good.

I don't think those are the same ones I'm talking about but they seem similar enough.

I haven't read any, but we had one on Marx in our 6th Form library that I used to put on the top shelf where the librarian would put a select few books.

Rocker lent me the socialism one...i only got about 30 pages into so far

but it seems helpful

i read the political philosophy one of these a while back before i started to read that kinda stuff it was muchas good
