Ernest Hemingway is my favorite author. I've read "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "The Sun Also Rises," "Across the River and Into the Trees," and "A Farewell to Arms." His writing is so powerful and simple. There are socialist undertones in a lot of his works, especially "For Whom the Bell Tolls" (my favorite book). He addresses the theme of bureaucracy within a workers' party, leftist nationalism, how to fight fascism, and subtly explained his own views on socialism through his characters. What's also great about Hemingway is that socialists can appreciate him, even though he isn't a traditional socialist writer like Orwell. What do other Comrades think about him?
