Personally, I've been on strike against fishing processing companies twice (I'm a fisherman) in collaboration with fishing organization that represents our fleet.

The first strike was won, the second one, years later, was lost, largely due to strike breakers.

(I'm actually not sure if this is the right area of the board to post this, so forgive me if it isn't.)

I have never been out on strike in my own workplace, however, I have done several picket actions.

I've been in a "strike" in school, if that counts. We did end up getting what we wanted.

Never been in a strike at work, despite my best efforts.

I have only been to 3 protests---Cuz I've been pretty much isolated from the rest of the movement and the rest of the world ever since I came to this town for my university "education".

Never have, because I've never had a job, but if I did, I would be prepared to strike as much and as long as necessary to get what we demanded.

12, or 13. I can't remember. The largest one a three and a half week strike with 170,000 workers. The shortest one for two hours.

almost went on strike back in high school when i worked for kroger, but the contract got signed. I've been on the picket line with the construction workers and their union on campus twice last year, supported the grad students union when their contract was up (strike once again avoided), and i walked the picket line with my father when the UAW was on strike for a few days when they were in talks with GM.
