Lenin's Cinema Truth (1924) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqvt7GpiFug) is that suppose to be Lenin? What is with the arrows flying at him, why did he cry?

Weird, isnt it - seems to be saying 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune': USSR cosies up to major imperialist powers, drowns the party in new recruits, while all the time singing Lenin's praises.

So how did this film come into being? Was it from Trotskiests? or maybe another fraction?

Highly unlikely as when Stalin and Trotsky were battling for the leadership of the party, and thus the USSR, both men used to say that they were the continuation of Lenin so it is very doubtful that either of the two mens sides produced this anti Lenin film (If indeed it is anti Lenin?).

Unless of course one of the sides created it and attributed it to the other side to discredit them?

Well it seems to say Lenin would disapprove of what the USSR became. The same director *D.Vertor" also did Soviet Toys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I89TFPgQ6mU) in the same year it seems to have a message that when the farmers and industrial workers combine as one they can liberate the wealth of the capitalist class (NEP men?)

Anyone know what fraction D. Vertor was appart?

I guess it must be by Dziga Vertor who was a member of the Left Front of the Arts (LEF) with Mayakovsky etc. He apparently produced a newsreel called Kino Pravda.

It makes more sense now, it is not a state produced film but a independent film.
