Its such a pathetic attempt, isn't it? Because he's too stupid to understand revolutionary leftism, he tries to debunk it by claiming that Marx's writings were bascially moans about his health.

Indeed, it is probably the most pathetic atempt to debunk Marxism so far. Why doesn't he just go ahead and also say that all leftists have some sort of physical illness that has an effect on their political views.

Haha, almost laughed as much as to this:
"History teaches that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake. In the early 1900s, the world ignored the words of Lenin, as he laid out his plans to launch a Communist revolution in Russia - and the world paid a terrible price. The Soviet Empire he established killed tens of millions, and brought the world to the brink of thermonuclear war," Bush said.
The president highlighted Washington's role in bringing down the Soviet Union. He told the gathering, attended by leading conservative lobbyists, "Together with a great President named Ronald Reagan, you championed a policy of rolling back communism oppression and bringing freedom to nations enslaved by communist tyranny."
All by our number 1 facist-imperialist next door.

That's truly beautiful. They just don't know what to come up with next. I did find it funny though!

What's truly amazing is that there are people that actually believe this rubbish.

This has got to be the worst "rebuttal" of Marxism I have ever seen. It is an extreme example of the bourgeois ideology of reducing events, ideological contributions, movements, etc. to a small handful of "great people."
And how do they explain Engels, Lenin, and others who did not have boils?

So much of the capitalist offensive against communism is done by creating the idea that it is un-natural to embrace it; if you choose communism, something is wrong with you.
By this logic, Karl Marx was not a brilliant socialist who articulated the struggles and social conditions of the working class, and laid down a correct theory for their emancipation; he was simply a sick, cranky old man, with a skin disease (which apparently, somehow, influenced him to write three volumes of capital, as well as the rest of his collected works )
By this logic, Soldiers who defected from the US in Korea and Vietnam were "Brainwashed".
By this logic, everyone who fought for the USSR was coerced, from begining to end (No one would ever figh tfor socialism willingly  ).
In every facet of life in the capitalist world, this idea is promoted, especially in pop culture. From the "Manchurian candidate" to the "Command and Conquer: Red alert" video games, the key weapon of the USSR always seems to be 'brainwashing technology'
Ironically ,the US is where there is actually documented evidence of mind control experiments (MK-Ultra).
These tendencies must be combatted always. I also think that it is amusing that in Alberta especially, there right wing rags occasionally take a shot at communism, without provocation, long after the disolution of the USSR. Man, they really like to piss on the ashes, but no one is impressed by it. Futile attempts like this article are, in my eyes, recognition that Communism is still quite relevant, and most likely growing in popularity and strength.

Is this the fucking best that the cappies can do to refute Marx?

I am yet to see a solid argument against socialism. What I hear is usually just sophistry and rhethoric.
This is no exception.
