I don't think this is really good news. It will just divide the British working class even further... what do you guys think?

This is incredibly bad, all it is doing is falling in the lap of Alex Salmond who wants independence..... It does divide the worker and is generally bad news. Most people will vote against it however, the act is it shouldn't be considered.

I also suspect that The Tories want to divide the workers.... thus eliminating our chances of victory. :(

It looks more like a distraction tactic to me, to try and divert working class peoples attention away from something else they (the bourgeoisie) are doing.

I'm not so sure this is entirely a bad thing.

Once/If this is carried out, there will be less ammunition for the right-wing media to use against Scotland. Hence, it could lead to less of the existant antagonism between the English and Scottish working-classes.

It's just so the conservatives can strengthen their position on England - they're infinitely less popular than most other parties in celtic countries yet enjoy a strong support in England. Vice versa, Labour hold comfortable amounts of seets in Scotland + Wales thus ensuring their majority in parliament.

By taking out a lot of Labour MPs from the commons on voting decisions for England, the Conservatives might be the largest party in the house - though I'm not sure on numbers...

Just another bit of political shenanagins from the Tories. If they really wanted equality they'd either get off thier arses and campaign for an English Parliament or English regional parliaments or close the Scots Welsh & Ulster assemblies down. Chance of that? zero. So instead they are gonna create a situation where a party may have a majority in Westminster for most stuff but has a minority in relation to health education etc. utter bollocks as we have to expect of them.

Ummm, am not quite sure how it will divide the UK working class that much more than it is at present. I think it suggests that UK nationalism is somehow preferable to Scottish nationalism when the reality is that both of them have nothing to offer - one merely gets workers to identify with UK bourgeoisie while the other encourages them to identify with the Scottish bourgeoisie. As a result we should be against both.

Mind you, at least it is a change having to argue with leftists against UK nationalism rather than against Scottish nationalism.
