Recruiting People of the street

Anyone have any tips tactics or experiences going door to door, or approaching people on the street for recruitment purposes. It seems that going out into the field in indispensable as far as expanding membership is concerned.

One thing I can say from experience is that you target the correct people. A few weeks ago in Washington D.C., the day before an anti-war march, there was an unpermitted march that went through the city. I, with another woman, branched off from the march and talked to people and gave them information on the events of the following day. If you're in a city, try to target people that are in bus stations, subways, or on buses. Also, you could try talking to people outside of a military recruitment center because those going inside of it are most likely working class people. Another obvious group is homeless people.
