SNS chairman Jan Slota and lawmakers Anna Belousovova, Rafael Rafaj and Andrej Pucik drafted the bill, which requests that the government approve a law stating that "any defamation of Andrej Hlinka by the public is punishable under the law." The authors of the bill claim that Hlinka’s legacy helped establish the independent Slovak Republic in 1993.
