Hello all!

I'm 18 years old.. and a male. Currently studying Sociology, History and the British political system at A-Level grade.

I have read some Lenin/Marx and Trotsky so far, but I have no solid views and wish to educate myself further with their writings. I however am certainly unhappy with the current state of world affairs and wish to debate and discuss with like minded people.

I hope to gain a better understanding of the society we live in and do my best to ensure everyone gets a piece of the pie.

Welcome to the site - I'm doing History too, I take it that is Late History? I'm primarily an English student but it's a great subject too.

PS: Shall you be Uni-ing next year? If so where will you go?

Thankyou for all the reply's so far. I shall be active in the forums and read up as much as I can. That link Blackstone, looks very good. I plan to also give alittle read over at marxists.org for their suggested works et al.

As for Universities, I should be going this year.. but after a year break and another spent doing an IT course I still have this year and next to go.

I plan to study Politics further on, developing my understanding of political theories in particular. Where do I want to go? I set myself high.

Brian: Good choices, I'm applying to UCL too, though I'd rather go to Holloway, anyway I'm studying English as my choice. www.marxists.org is a great website, Wikipedia is shite really but useful for a vague idea of something.
