if you can't find any places in belgium or holland, go to a library and find a pc
check these websites:
Belgium: www.punk-and-resistance.tk
Netherlands: www.kraak-forum.nl
you should find some info about squats where you can sleep there.

I've spent the whole of last summer backpacking throughout Europe. I had a couch in Italy at my cousins house but I mostly stayed in hostels. They are really cheap, something like 15 USD a night. Hostels + a Euro train pass (a must) and you'll slowly find out your trip isn't as expensive as you first thought.
Check this website out:

You can meet people at that site who are willing to share their couch with you! I've met some really cool people like that in Madrid and Paris, I recommend it.

Hostels are also a good alternative to hotels, and can be found in a lot of European towns, in case no one in an area is willing to take you in.

Europe is becoming increasingly more expensive to visit. I once had dreams of backpacking through Europe but as I'm slowly approaching my prime backpacking period in my life, I've looked at things practically and I have set my sights on South America, where things are cheaper and it's relatively safe.

Usually you cant just rock up to squats and stay at them. So many random people have been trying ti for years, and thats pretty much why is doesnt work anymore.
My simple recc is that just get a contact for the first place you stay, and then you can try to get contacts from them, and then the next person, and so on and so on (and even contacts that you just meet on the way). And hitching is pretty easy is at least some areas of europe. and you can def dumpster dive easily in england and spain.

If you roll down to Istanbul give us a shout, other than that... ummm....I dont know if its still open, but if you go to England, you could check out the Camberwell squat with the Blackfrogs maybe they can help you out (they have open events and movie nights). In Germany I met people there, crashed with them, they even took me all the way to Cologne from Hamburg - so you can meet people, much better if you meet people with your political beliefs, so its important to kinda spread the love and meet new people.

Or you could meet some fucking creeper who skins you alive in the middle of the night.

South America, safe? Safer than Europe? Um...no.
