Hello Comrades,
I am the Red Son. I am a Vermont Separatist-Nationalist. I am currently in university and will be finished with my BA in less than two months. I am a scholar of social movements, in particular guerrilla movement. I have a blog (http://therevolutionscript.blogspot.com) which I have been shamelessly promoting on the forums here to positive results. I am enjoying revleft very much and hope to learn much from you my comrade in the future.
Cheers,
The Red Son

I think he's for national liberation and self-autonomous communism for his state's region if I've got it right.
I'd rather not live within this federal government, regardless of a proletarian revolution or as it is currently.
Edit:
rather *not*

yes you have it right. as to whether their is any "left" in me, i would say yes. i am a marxist with anti-authoritarian/liberatarian/anarchist leanings, although i not quite sold on the last one. but i identify first and foremost as a vermont nationalist, of the separatist variety rather than federalist.

how do you equate anti-authoritarianism/small-government/no government with an authoritarian who stalled communism's evolution into anarchism, who did not dissolve the state be created a massive state apparatus? i may be a leninist at time but never a stalinist.

LOL, I thought I would Necro this as a belated intro as moderator of the introduction forum. Needless to say my politics have changed and become more refined with time...

This statement in context is like a parody of all anti-stalinism, ever.

Now I identify first as an Anti-capitalist, then a liberatarian socialist, then a Vermont pseudo-guerrilla.

The vermont secessionism kinda puzzles me. What would that achieve?

Destabilization of empire, creation of a liberated zone to act as a launch pad from broader revolution.
Edit: Also TBH the rest of the US which I feel little allegiance to can fuck off, Vermont is going to be chilling.

Forum moderators get no respect. Politics aside, I'd just like to thank you and the many others who keep this important site going.
I hadn't gotten into a decent political discussion in eleven years prior to joining revleft a week ago. I was starved!!
I can see Vermont as a leading "cell" of the American revolution, but I'm afraid Vermonsters are stuck with the rest of us. We'll hang together in a revolutionary process or be hanged separately.
Vermont is definitely an interesting state and could begin the process, though.

Haha, I wasn't a moderator back then... little did I know at that point how much time I would end up spending on this marx-forsaken site. But thanks for the kudos.
Glad you have found the forum to your likens, stick around!
"We'll hang together in a revolutionary process or be hanged separately."
That is a very good point, I have only ever envisioned Vermont and it's impending revolution as part of a broader, GLOBAL struggle, but more immediately as part of the "American revolution".
I appreciate the vote of confidence in vermont.
