The Euro and The Dollar

headlines are about how the Dollar has hit a new time low against the Euro.
what does this have to do with? what makes the dollar go up or down?

I'd put my guess on, well, mostly oil. Maybe it has to do with Russia visiting Iran?

I believe it's because the weak US economy plus predictions that it is not going to improve is scaring investors into dumping dollars and buying Euros or something to that effect.

i think chinese growth and its imminent take over as no.1 economy could be a big factor.

Simple economics, the U.S.A. is trying to get rid of their foreign debt by making their money worthless. More or less.
