We don't still know where is the lecture but we will have a rally point in The Rock (If you ever come to MSU just ask where the hell is that) at 6 PM in October 26.

He will be speaking on October 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. The university has not yet assigned the lecture hall where he will give his speech.

The Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) is a conservative, non-partisan political organization that was founded on September 11, 1960. Former members of YAF include President Ronald Reagan, author Pat Buchanan, Congressmen Tom Tancredo and Dana Rohrabacher, Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Dan Quayle, and actor John Wayne.

Over the last year and a half, MSU-YAF has hosted speeches by Congressman Tom Tancredo, Minuteman Civil Defense Corps President Chris Simcox, Center for Immigration Studies Executive Director Mark Krikorian, and many others.

This is not UofM, this is michigan statre university, and yes there is a sizeable radical population.

Today I am going to meet up with some comrades, but apparently the event is going to be full of cops who will not hesitate to arrest. When Christian Simcox came, that minuteman scumbag, the crowd became rowdy and there where a few arrests. Lets see what comes out of the discussion.

Of course, this is not to say that the debate should be confined safely within the comfortable four walls of a lecture theatre (which is most likely the intention of this 'Young Americans for Freedom'). Set up stalls outside, distribute literature, engage people in debate, prepare for confrontation. The point is to win the argument, thus winning people over to our side.

Er, the "No platform for fascism" has its use, it is not just some romantic pandering against the evils of fascism.

The theory behind it is that fascist efforts to organize should be disrupted the shit out of them. This makes it impossible for them to have cohesive organization and therefore, as BCBM said, "makes the streets safer".

I don't think normal people, except hardcore liberals, give a shit if Nick Griffin is disrupted or not. Perhaps, because Nick Griffin isn't exactly trying to organize fascists here, the "no platform for fascism" doesn't applies to him. I don't think we will get to know the lecture hall until like--a day before. They always operate like this because they know people would try to organize against it. We are still however, going to organize before, and we are going to establish meeting points, strategies etc. When the plans kinda become established I'll pm you the details!
