I was listening to the lyrics of this song and I realized that it's about neo-cons, so I thought I'd share it with you all. Also, the video to that song is simply amazing, and must be seen by all!

The video and lyrics are below:

Pearl Jam - Do The Evolution (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoNmNmXExZ8)

Woo..
I'm ahead, I'm a man
I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I'm at peace with my lust
I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah
It's evolution, baby

I'm at peace, I'm the man
Buying stocks on the day of the crash
On the loose, I'm a truck
All the rolling hills, I'll flatten 'em out, yeah
It's herd behavior, uh huh
It's evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my son, he's my clone
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This land is mine, this land is free
I'll do what I want but irresponsibly
It's evolution, baby

I'm a thief, I'm a liar
There's my church, I sing in the choir:
(hallelujah, hallelujah)

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my son, admire my clones
'Cause we know, appetite for a nightly feast
Those ignorant Indians got nothin' on me
Nothin', why?
Because... it's evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced
I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah
I crawled the earth, but now I'm higher
2010, watch it go to fire
It's evolution, baby
It's evolution, baby
Let's do the evolution
Come on, come on, come on

Funny how they sing about anticapitalist shit but still sucked the corporate cock when they signed to Epic [a subdivision of Sony] and stayed there for 13 years from 1991-2003. Peal Jam anticapitalist? My arse. Good band though :)

Not saying they're arseholes, just that why should I listen to a bands anticapitalist lyrics when they are signed to Sony, it's a bit like working for Magret Thatcher n claiming to be a socialist.

Theres plenty good bands out there not signed to majors or even producing thier own records, if they wanna tell me capitalism is shit I'm far more inclined to listen.

As it stands bands like Pearl Jam are good to listen to but don't kid yourself they have a message other than buy my records so I can get minted.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasnt Rage Against The Machine signed to Sony, which everyone seems to love?

Listen to the song and watch the video; don't whine about things that we already know.

I don't :)

Saw em back in the early 90s at glastonbury, not bad live, but most of the songs were a bit samey, slow build, shouty chorus, quiet bit, slow build, shouty chorus, rinse n repeat.

Sorry to the OP for derailing, song aint bad same goes for the vid.
