The really funny thing is that of all the crazy things Ann Coulter has said, this is actually one of the least shocking. 'Cause the thing is, she's right!

The whole point of Jesus Christ was that he "perfected" Judaism and rendered the Old Testament unnescessary. That's how Christianity was able to spread in the early days, it's how the Church was able to justify its oppression of the Jews for the next two thousand years.

And, when you get right down to it, it makes perfect sense. If Christianity didn't assert its own supremecy, no one would believe in it. Religion, by its nature, is an intolerant business.

Not all conservative christians hate jews, many of them to hate muslims more (though it seems to be true that islamophobia is often just an excuse for pursuing their selfish bourgeois interests-- and selfish "need" (if you even want to call it that-- it's more like greed) for power).

though I will say that the conservatives who hate jews are the ones with nazi tendencies-- and it cannot be denied that they have these tendencies-- after all fascism and nazism are comparably close with conservative views in regards to homophobia and many other issues. a lot of conservatives hate african americans. this gets me quite angry- and it all fits together, too. blaming poverty on african americans, blaming homosexuals for the spread of HIV, blaming jews for plotting against other ethnic groups, blaming muslims for terrorism; it is endless, and it all is somehow interconnected-- because all of it is used to promote bourgeois ideology.

Conservative Christians are in a strange place with regards to Jews. I mean, everyone knows that racists will usually support black nationalism because they want to cleanse the country of non-whites.

But Conservative Christians often run in the same ruling class circles as the powerful Jews and have to at least pretend to support them in order to keep the system going the way it is. Zionism, like Black Nationalism, is a way for the right-wing to act like they support minorities while covertly desiring to get rid of them.
