Hi everyone!..
My name's Benc, 17 years-old and I'm from Brunei. Incase you don't know where Brunei is, it's a small *absolute-monarchy* country on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia :D
I'm also a newbie anarchist. I've just taken Sociology class in school this year and I found how interesting the ideology of anarchism can be; especially the theories of Anarcho-communism which suits my beliefs on how to change this society. I found this great site by accident a few days and I was like "Wow!"
Well that's pretty much it, thanx for reading my intro ;)

Holy crap. I used to live in Brunei, although it's a goodly few years since I was there - what's the situation like there comrade? It was pretty crap when I lived there and I doubt it's gotten any better.

@spartan: Thanx!
Oh hell, there haven't been much change here in Brunei: same old crap. There's still lots of problems that haven't been taken care of. Everyday you'd probably see the same thing on the newspaper. Yeah I doubt we will be seeing any progressive changes here pretty soon..

The sultan of Brunei is also the biggest owner of cars owning over 5000 super, luxury, rare and exotic cars. :blink:

Imagine that amount of money used to further improve the conditions of the citizens.. I doubt he'll be using all of the cars ;)

The Sultan is famous for his vast automobile collection. In 1998, the British car magazine Autocar published undercover photographs of the Sultan's cars, which included unique conversions of Ferraris and Bentleys into station wagons. He is variously said to have owned between 3,000 and 5,000 cars. the number purchased by his business interests and the number actually used by himself and his family differ greatly. According to Guinness World Records the Sultan's personal private collection has 500 Rolls-Royces the largest collection of that marque in the world. During the 1990s, his family accounted for almost half of all Rolls-Royce purchases, bulk buying slightly modified vehicles for diplomats and adding unique cars to their own collection. He also owns the very last Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, a 1992 state landaulette.
:o
What a bastard.

Lol yeah. I don't mind him buying those exclusive and rare cars; but an amount between 3000 and 5000.. Oh heck, what a waste!

My family used to travel a lot, my parents were both teachers their skills tended to be needed everywhere so they went to a lot of different places. Brunei was the last country we moved to before settling down in England, sometimes I miss it but mostly I remember it for the reactionary hellhole it is.
RainingSkies: Not really surprising things haven't changed much :( , here's hoping that change comes soon :) .
Do you know how the struggles a little south of you in Sarawak are going?

Yeah I've just noticed that, I haven't seen much anarchists from the east ;)

Well not really. I've lost track of what's really going on in that state. :rolleyes:
