The greatest challenge facing the modern world are the repercussions from North Americas' foreign policy over the last 50 years.

I'd extend that to the whole period it (the US anyway) has existed.

You could even extend that to Imperialism in general which has existed at least since the Bronze Age.

Well I would'nt say since the US existed, before World War 1 it was mainly european powers, especially the UK.

War, and its modern-era imperialist component, have always been a problem. The greatest challenge is revealing to everyone that the ruling class uses it to mask the massive accumulating financial crisis, which is going to destroy the American economy, and bring about a new era of global Empire.

I say the last 50 years.... I feel the media has a major part in this. Before this time did the public really know what was going on. Do we still know the half of it now? I believe WWII was a threshold as far as imperialism was concerned, overt to covert, why invade a country yourself when you can get someone of your chosing to do it for you from the inside

The United States was'nt a global power, many other Nations were doing horrible things of the sort at the time too, Great Briton Back then was the Big Dog. I'm saying the United States has'nt always been the Giant Power, it was mainly after WW1 and especially WW2.

Very good point, the confessions of an economic hit man, shows that pretty well. War is just a small piece of the Imperialism Pie.
