This question does not strictly pertain to revolutionary politics, but I need it for research and the UK being a free and open country and everything naturally the answer is buried behind smoke and mirrors and hard to find.
So basically:
Roughly how much does the UK government take in, in taxation every year?
How much income does it receive from other sources?
How much money does it borrow?
How much does it spend?
Answers would be greatly appreciated.

Go ask the KGB.
Honestly you think a corrupt capitalist government is going to let anyone know what it does with its money?

All these figures are announced each year. It is a question of trying to find them.
Anyway if anyone has some non-paranoid answers I would be grateful

Actually I have already found some of this information. Most pertinently the Government spent 542 billion last year I believe.

yep. I remember reading somewhere that the cost of funding the blitz on Iraq for five minutes would have funded the NHS for a whole year.

I'm not sure of the figures myself. I'm sure one of the government departments will have a statisics website or something that tells you.

You would be surprised. They don't seem keen to tell you. I eventually found the figures by reading through the text of Brown's last budget. Believe me that isn't something I would normally have done
