hey, i've been doing a lot of research lately on che guevara on my own because we don't learn much about him in school, acutally we learned nothing about him. so, i had done some research on him and figured out what he did who he was what inspired him, etc... and i am kind of borderline with whether or not to consider him some sort of hero liberator for people of brown skin. i mean he's crazy intelligent and interesting but he kind of sounds like a terrorist in a way because i read that he had told a british newspaper that if cuba was in control of the missiles during the cuban missile crisis that he would of aimed them at major u.s. cities i also came across a picture of people of iraq parading the streets with their flags and flags with che on it which also made me wonder why? can somebody tell why people glorify him so much and why so many people also hate him.this salsa singer named sergio vargas had went to florida to perform and had a che shirt on and the people of the cuban community booed him.why is that? because it seems to me people walk around with his face on their shirts and can't explain why.

You just asked a mouthful of questions that would take me hours to explain, so I will direct you to our pinned topics in this forum. I would start with one. (http://www.revleft.com/index.php?showtopic=42180)
And make your way thru the rest.

Because they are pricks.

Che wanted to liberate mankind from exploitation. The exile-Cubans are in general
supportive of capitalism, a system of exploitation.

Che Guevara represents to much to say in one post. Basically he is a concentration of someone who has devoted their life to fighting imperialism and for the liberation of Latin America, and the World from the horrors it perpetrates. Che Guevara wasn't a terrorist. On the Cuban Missile Crisis Question, I wouldn't be suprised if he did say that because Cuba was under attack, it had US missile pointed against it. It was blokaded and then even invaded at Bay of Pigs. The missiles were a necessary tool of self-defence against imperialism. I don't think Cuba would have fired them, but I do think that they were important in kicking out US imperialism once and for all from Cuba

[QUOTE]but he kind of sounds like a terrorist in a way

He wasnt a terrorist. He did not sacrificed people just for no reason. He did not do or had any one else do a suicide bomb. these are things that terrorists do. Che did not do any of these things. somone correct me if im wrong though!!

Suicide bombing is a technique, not terrorism in itself.
