There will be a workshop on Marxist Economics at the Tri-Co-Ops on the UC Davis Campus that I will be helping out with.
It will be at 1 P.M. on October 27th (it's a saturday that hopefully will be sunny).
The scope of the workshop will loosely be based off of the structure of Das Kapital beginning with the theory of value, the theory of surplus value, a bit about the economic nature of historical materialism (the development of capitalism), and finishing with Marx's business cycle ("the law of accumulation", etc.).
ALSO the Davis People's Free School (which is the school which is "endorsing" for lack of a better word this workshop) will be kicking off its fall education line-up with a free concert on October 12th, at 8pm at the tri-co-ops. Free homebrew, and donations are encouraged. If you're a band in the Davis area, contact the DPFS to play.
