Yesterday, we were having a discussion with a comrade on whether the worker-communist parties were more of an exile based group or whether they were based in Iran and Iraq. Does anyone know how big "Worker-Communist Party of Iran", "Worker-Communist Party of Iran - Hekmatists", "Worker-Communist Party of Iraq" and "Leftist Worker Communist Party of Iraq" is in Iran and Iraq? How big is their front groups like the "Iraqi Freedom Congress"? I heard that "Worker-Communist Party of Iran - Hekmatists" had an armed wing. What are the activities of this armed wing? How big is it? Also, there is a lot written on the history of the "Worker-Communist Party of Iran" but there is little about the history of the "Worker-Communist Party of Iraq". How did they organize there? In Turkey, they tried to organize by send cadres from Iran, is that how they did it in Iraq too? Or did they instead started organizing in Iran's border with Northern Iraq which is a Kurdish dominated area with a common language?

And how does this relate to "Practice," exactly? Aren't you guys still talking about linking up with the ICC (should've done that long while back)?

It's pretty hard, if not impossible, to know how big any leftist party or organization is in Iran, given the fact that the activity they do is underground.

The Practice forum deals with political organizations.

Yes, this doesn't have anything to do with it however. This thread is basically about something I was curious about - there is nothing political to make of it.

Yeah, of course. However, I would imagine that they themselves, including their militants outside Iran, might have an idea, and there are people here with pretty close relations with the WCPies so I hoped someone could answer some questions I asked.
